Julia’s Big Girl Bed!
Posted in Mom Life, Random Nonsense on 02/17/2008 08:41 pm by toriJulia has grown up *sniff*. She’s been moved from her crib to a “big girl bed” (aka twin bed). We just went and got it yesterday - she’s actually sleeping on a mattress and boxspring on the floor as to avoid falls. She picked out the sheets and everything…

My health still hasn’t improved, despite the heavy doses of inhaled steroids and the nebulizer treatments (which make me so shaky it’s awful). Tomorrow is the CT scan, I’m pretty sure they’re going to inject me with something which is always fun - finding a vein on me is horrid.
Keeping my fingers crossed it was nothing on the x-ray, but still wondering why the heck I feel like crap.

Put her on a bed above the ground. She’ll fall once and never again. I recommend bunk beds for boys: they fall once also and the same paradigm applies.

So adorable!! After a while you can put the bed up on the frame. It took Emery a little while to learn that the bed didn’t have walls. A short fall when you’re sleeping is enough to teach them that they can’t keep rolling. No need to make it a harder fall and risk injury.

Aww, my little punkin! She looks so happy and content in her new big girl bed.
Tori, I have one of those “bed guard” rails that slips between the mattress and the box spring. Once that driveway of yours is no longer a sheet of ice (the end of this month, maybe?) I’ll take a ride up and bring it to you.
