we got one

An air conditioner, that is. Of course, right now it’s not needed, but I’m glad we’ve got the thing for when it will be sweltering in here. I’m still in mucho pain from this whole endometriosis/cyst thing, and I’m getting more and more scared. I know it’s not cancer, but dammit, I really don’t want surgery. Not to mention that I’ve had too many bad experiences with doctors.

Thank goodness for Julia. She is the cutest little distraction. Now she’s begun to recite along with shows she’s watched and sing all the music she knows. Aside from counting to five in German and Spanish, she counts to 20 in English, and we’re really working on better random recognition of letters. She can sing the alphabet no problem, however.

The cutest, however, is her little mannerisms which just pop up. If you ask her how she is she’ll say, “Well, I’m feeling good.” Just like that, or “I’m doing fine”. It’s so cute to hear whole phrases and sentences coming out of this tiny little voice box. She’s also picked up quite a Spanish vocabulary from Dora the Explorer and Go Diego Go! I can now be answered with, instead of “Thank you mommy” (she’s super polite and well-mannered, something Stephen and I stress) I’ll get “Masias (Gracias)” quickly followed by “De Nada”.

Well, time to be away from this computer. Julia just pointed at me and said, “Oh, so nice!”, to which I replied, “Who’s so nice?”. A quick little response - “Mommy’s so nice.” Aww. Look at me melting here.
