Damn me and those premature predictions. I am starting my new med, and since it causes withdrawal from the old one as well as the new side effects, I’m quite out of commission these days.

I can’t let it get to me, though. Shouldn’t show the weakness to everyone as much as I have been, so I won’t.

Dakota’s been sick as well, of course, not mentally, but physically. His skin is bad, probably a hereditary condition known as Seborrheic Dermatitis , which is more prevalent in Cockers. He also has a skin infection and ear infection. Poor dude. The vet did confirm the age of Dakota (which we were told was 4 when we got him, so that would make him about 9 right now). He’s also in good shape other places, weight, etc.

We’ve also decided on names for both of our kitties - going with the outer space/alien theme, we’ve chosen “Roswell” and “Ridley” (both boys). Ridley is for director Ridley Scott - who made the first Alien movie. We should be getting them early next week.

Hmm, what else? Besides medication, my days are pretty much filled with vacuuming up doggy skin flakes and getting used to the idea that on the 10th, I will again be joining the ranks of college students. I am going back to school online, 10 years from the first time I attended college, in order to complete my BA in Psychology. Here’s hoping it sticks this time.
