Took a little trip down to Atlantic City, and while I didn’t win the big bucks, I did hit a little bit of cash on the slot machines. I’m still too scared to play blackjack or poker… the thought of just slapping down all those high (more than 25 cent) chips…
Julia has become amazing. Her vocabulary is impossibly large. “Mommy, I’m so… frustrated.” LOL. And she’s using the words correctly as well. I think she’s ready to write and I know she’s upset she can’t read yet. Julia will conquer the world!
Oh, and I am officially sick of snow.

Well, I got back from the doctor, and the results of my CT scan showed no abnormalities - except for the fact that my thymus gland which is supposed to shrivel up at puberty did not. This means no sarcoidosis! The wacky thymus is probably what they saw on the x-ray and mistook for the hallmark of sarcoidosis - swollen lung lymph nodes.
There’s still something up with me bacterially, so I need to take a third round of antibiotics, and some steroids. But after that I should be ok! Well, as ok as I get.

A surreal experience - I hadn’t had one before (just an MRI) and it’s a little different. I did have to get “contrast” (dye) so that meant they had to find a vein. Luckily the nurse was quick, and good, and found one on the first try. So the actual test is over.
The results? I’ll get those in “a few days”.
I am so sick of waiting! Appointment with (regular) doctor on Wednesday.

Julia has grown up *sniff*. She’s been moved from her crib to a “big girl bed” (aka twin bed). We just went and got it yesterday - she’s actually sleeping on a mattress and boxspring on the floor as to avoid falls. She picked out the sheets and everything…
My health still hasn’t improved, despite the heavy doses of inhaled steroids and the nebulizer treatments (which make me so shaky it’s awful). Tomorrow is the CT scan, I’m pretty sure they’re going to inject me with something which is always fun - finding a vein on me is horrid.
Keeping my fingers crossed it was nothing on the x-ray, but still wondering why the heck I feel like crap.

No, I’m not having a House moment. Evidently, what the ER (fun trip last Friday) thought was pneumonia was actually some enlargement of the lymph nodes in my lungs. This means a trip through a CT scan (fun) and the possibility that I have sarcoidosis. Just because I didn’t have enough issues. Feh.
Freaking out here, even though the disease itself has many variations and can be anything from a little nuisance to something serious. I am on a nebulizer with treatments to breathe better, and the doctor put me on some inhaled steroids to fend off other issues. But until I know my CT is clear, I’ll be freaking. I am so tired (from whatever’s causing the breathing issue) and I am also a panicked mess.
Maybe I should go to med school - I’m already halfway there learning about all the illnesses. From experiencing them.
